I hope that the ban list focuses on more annoying cards to play against that do not lead to the end of the game, like with the iona ban. The card is pushed do not get me wrong but it is definetly not the most annoying card to deal with. Idk just kind of a weird ban in my opinion. ![]() Notion thief still ends the game the same way with a wheel. Notion thief is almost an identicle card but gives you more cards instead of treasure and costs 1 more black. It is also weird in my opinion to ban just hullbreacher and not the alternative’s along with it. ![]() Hullbreacher has been a problem card since its release last year, they said. I can not say the same about baral, chief of compliance commander decks that just focus on outlasting and denying spells until they can grab enter the infinite and omniscience with dream halls,(same reason leovold was banned) not being fun to play against and denying resources. The Commander Rules Committee has banned Hullbreacher from Magic: the Gathering’s Commander format. The only times I have been screwed by hullbreacher the game usually ends that turn with a wheel which is fine because games do need to end. This is the reasoning the Commander Rules Committee used to justify the banning: Hullbreacher has been a problem card since its release. Those lists are maintained on the format pages themselves. Formats unique to Magic Online have their own Banned and Restricted lists. For example ] is a more popular card that I keep seeing and grown whenever it is played. With this announcement, many people are in the unique situation where they want to find a replacement for Hullbreacher in their decks - hence, the existence of this. In my opinion there are way more problematic cards in the more casual side of edh. That being said I do not under stand the ban commitees mentality when it comes to hullbreacher. I own a hullbreacher and do not run it in any deck.
